– Work/internal functionings of the project: Bunyad instated *community based multi-stakeholders monitoring* + *a remedial mechanism for prevention and withdrawal of children from labour in the supply chain:*
- established 32 accelerated NFE centres wherein 1356 children aged 5-15 were enrolled (981 of whom were child labourers, and the rest their siblings)
- organized a vocational training program for 200 children (who were all above the age of 15)
- distributed 1399 in the target area through the Mobile Rickshaw Library
- linked 501 economically deprived families with social safety nets (in both the private and public sector) to prevent them from falling below a specified standard of living—as financial stability is essential to assuring that parents are able to focus on the education and health of their children
- used varying forms of media to highlight the issue of child/forced labour within the cotton, textile and garment value chains and the projects/activities undertaken to tackle it
- conducted session with 697 target stakeholders and community members in order to promote and localize the concepts of decent work, social safety nets, occupational health & safety and CSR
- initatied the signing of a letter of commitments; so far 888 family members, employers, stakeholders, farmers, contractors, sub-contractors have signed it, thereby showing support for the elimination of child/forced labour from within the cotton value chain
- organized sessions on occupational health and safety, teaching 794 community members about how to safehugard their personal wellbeing within workplace environments. there was a strong emphasis on the primary prevention of hazards
